Golden-haired Girl Rides on Western Pony--Acts in Movies

Pretty little Mildred Harris wanted to be an actress when she was a wee maid of three summers. Now she is all of ten years old and counts her engagements by seasons. So, you see, she soon put her wish into practice.

This picture shows her just as she pulled her pony up, after a race across the great, open ranch of the Kay Bee moving picture company down below Santa Monica, Cal. Riding is her favorite pastime.

Besides being a clever actress, Mildred is blessed with a wealth of wonderful golden curls which are a great addition to her worth, from a picture-taking standpoint.

She has played in many feature pictures, including "The Child of War," "Grand Dad" and "The Pride of the South."

Rex Picture Had Much Local Interest

In the picture "Enoch Arden" at the Rex on Monday evening, the part of Enoch Arden's daughter was taken by Mildred Harris, a niece of Miss Foote, dean of women at the State Normal School, the leading part being played by Lillian Gish.

The picture Monday night was very good, and there was a good crowd out. Miss Adolpha Hedstrom played the violin with the orchestra and Miss Elizabeth clark sang a group of Carrie Jacobs Bond songs, which were greatly enjoyed.

The next big Monday attraction will be "As Ye Sow", with Alice Brady playing the leading part.
