MILDRED M. PFLUEGER- Sept. 5, 1912 – June 18, 2004 Mildred M. Pflueger, 91, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Kokomo and Rochester, died 2:30 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2004 at Phoenix Mountain Nursing Center in Phoenix. Born Sept. 5, 1912, in Peru, she was the daughter of Lottie (Bruck) and Cloyd Gruwell. On July 13, 1929, in South Bend, she married Ernest A. Pflueger, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1990. She was a homemaker, a member of the South Side Christian Church, Kokomo, and was also a member of First Christian Church in Rochester. She enjoyed traveling and sewing. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Christofanelli and her husband Paul, Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Ron Pflueger and his wife Maria, Peru; grandchildren Cindy and Pat Golembieski, Tucson, Ariz., Pam Cline, Kokomo, Lisa Pflueger, Kokomo, Kim Pflueger, Seattle, Wash., Jennifer Pflueger, Broad Ripple, Paul and Lynn Christofanelli, Ft. Collins, Colo., Kerry and Wendy Christofanneli, Bloomington, Ill., and Barbara and Tom Cunningham, Phoenix, Ariz.; 14 great- grandchildren; and a great- granddaughter. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Services are 2 p.m. Monday, June 28 at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster St., with the Rev. Charles Babcock officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
