She service in the headquarters 4 ND NASD Philadelphia, PA. She earned an Amercian Campaign Ribbon and Victory Medal. She was honrably discharged on April 11, 1946 from USNPSU (WR) Washington, DC. Mildred Nestor was buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Mpls, MN., next to her husband Leonard Nestor.
