Mildred P. "Milly" Dunn, 94, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2007, at St. Patrick's Hospital, Missoula, MT.

The daughter of Arthur and Louisa Dorr, she was born August 10, 1912, in Rochester, MN.
She grew up in Miles City, MT where her father ran the Boy's State Industrial School. Milly married schoolmate Dan Brady and raised their three children in Miles City. In 1963, following Dan Brady's death (1962) she married another old school friend, Pat Dunn, and moved to Burlington, WI. Following the death of her second husband, she retired to Missoula in the early seventies.

A devoted Catholic, Milly's whole life was spent in the service of family and community.
In the fifties, she was the quintessential "Soccer Mom" logging thousands of miles transporting youth sports teams across three states; AAU swim meets for daughters Susie and Keenie and baseball and basketball for son Mike. Milly's door was always open to the neighborhood children, attracted by her fresh baked bread, chocolate chip cookies and loving heart. Her children learned volunteerism at her knee, helping the Dominican Sisters open and close up the classrooms of Sacred Heart at the beginning and close of each school year.

In her career outside the home, Milly worked for the Miles City Star and later as the Office Administrator for Culligan in Burlington, WI. In her retirement she continued her connection to Culligan by volunteering to work their booth at the county fair. Missoulians will remember her as a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and a feisty and committed community volunteer, giving tens of thousands of hours to several local entities: RSVP, Montana Eye Bank, Bargain Box, Election Commission among others. Over the years her favorites were the University of Montana School of Journalism and the Engineering Dept. of Missoula's City Hall. She was honored twice as the state of Montana's Senior Volunteer of the Year.
Milly was a huge fan of the Grizzlies and loved Missoula's Farmers Market. She considered it her "Don't Miss" activity on Saturday mornings.

Milly is preceded in death by her parents: Arthur and Louisa; her siblings: Harold Dorr, Alice Hamilton, Elsie Pannage; her dear husbands, Dan Brady and Pat Dunn; and her beloved son, Michael.
She is survived by her daughters: Kathleen "Keenie" Boehlke of Frenchtown, MT, Sue Vos of Aurora, IL and her daughter-in-law Janice Brady of Havre, MT; her grandchildren: Craig and Daniel Brady of Sacramento, CA, Mark Oberhoffer of Missoula, MT, Wendy Magera of Helena, MT, and Adam Vos of Chicago, IL; her great-grandchildren: Blake Brady, Taylor and Zoe Vos, Heather and Sarah Magera; and loving nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to acknowledge the caring staff at Village Health Care, her home for the last several years, and to thank the team at St. Pat's for the compassion, respect and dignity shown her during her last days. A Memorial Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at 1:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
