Mildred M. Newton 1926-2001 Thursday, October 4, 2001 Services for Mildred "Millie" Mary Newton, 75, Olathe, were Saturday, Sept. 29, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner. Burial was in Gardner Cemetery. Mrs. Newton died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Sand Patch, Pa., the daughter of Spurgeon C. and Alpha A. (Tressler) Diveley. She attended business college in Cumberland, Md. She moved to Olathe in November 1965. Mrs. Newton was a security coordinator at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in De Soto for 31 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of College Church of the Nazarene, Olathe. A sister, Arlene Mae Diveley, preceded her in death. She married Donald E. Newton on April 19, 1962, in Pocahontas, Pa.
