Last child born to Jay and Fanny Alloway. She attended the rural grade school, later going to the Labette County Community High School in Altamont and eventually to the Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburgh, KS. After graduation from college she taught school for several years before she and William "Bill" S. Fouts married on 23 Dec 1922. Mildred and Bill made their home in Parsons where she was employed as a dietitian for many years at the Parsons State Hospital and Training center. She preceded her husband in death on 3 June 1971 and is buried in the Memorial Lawn Cenetery in Parsons.
