Biography
Michael was born in 1790. He is the son of Michael Teets. He passed away before 1832. Michael Teets Jr. died before 1832 in of drowning.6,5,7 Michael was christened on June 13, 1790 in Kreuzkirche, Posen, Preussen, Germany [Note: place of birth highly unlikely]. 8 Michael Teets Jr. was also known as Michael Dietz.5 Michael Teets, Jr. volunteered, along with Adam, Christian, and Jacob Teets, and joined Captain Leonard Cupp's Virginia Militia in 1813. They took part in the regiments 400-odd mile march to Fort Meigs at the rapids on Maumee River (now the city of Toledo, Ohio) which was beseiged by British and Indians.
