Obituary

MICHAEL J. "EBENEZER" SAVIDGE, 51, died 6:16 p.m. Dec. 20, 1998, at home.

He was born Sept. 28, 1945; in Kenton to Dale M. and Inez Kathleen Fry Savidge. His father and step-mother, Anna Marie Savidge, survive in Spencerville.

On May 10, 1969, he married Mary A. Shawmiller, who survives.

Mr. Savidge was owner of the Villager Bar and Grill, Spencerville, for the past 24 years. He was a farmer and a former car salesman with Koenig Chevrolet, Spencerville, and Rino's Auto Sales, Celina. He was a 1963 graduate of Spencerville High School.

Survivors also include two daughters, Janet Sue (Jan) Osting of Westpoint Ind., and Melissa Renee Savidge of Lafayette, Ind.; a sister, Judi C. Wilges of Angola, Ind.; three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Merle Savidge.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. The Rev. John DeCamp will officiate. Burial will be in Hartford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
