Source:Anderson, Robert Charles. Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Vol. 6, p. 31, quotes the 1656 will of William Read as referring to "my three children that are married". In Middlesex Probate records, the will was copied into Vol. 1, p. 299 as saying "George & Ralph & Michaell", but in Rodgers' Source:Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Middlesex County in the Colony of the Massachusetts Bay in New England, Vol. 2, p. 68, it is quoted "George, and Ralph, and Michaell" with a comment attached to Michaell "[this name underlined and Israel is written in margin]". Source:Waters, Henry F. Genealogical Gleanings in England, Vol. 2, p. 889, which one might suspect looked at the actual will presented in England where he died, it says "George, Ralph and Abigail". According to Anderson, p. 6:33 George m. 1652, Ralph m. by 1664 [i.e., could be earlier], and Abigail m. 1650. There is no question about Ralph's name, and it would appear from the marriage date that Abigail should certainly qualify to be in a list of married children. Israel bp. 1642, which if close to his birth, could not have been married by the date of his father's will, and there is no record of a Michael other than this apparent mistranscription. So has Anderson's concluded.
