Michael Hinkle was a "local Methodist minister (later affiliated with the Universalist Church) and a prominent farmer and stock raiser on the North Fork. . . Michael Henkle was one of the largest land owners and tax payers in Pendleton Co." Moist's book includes a photo of Michael Hinkle.
