[From Dean Froehlich on 25 Nov 1997 - The identity of of Michael Hell's father is found in York Co., Deeds Book 2H:161. On 9 May 1792 the executors of the last will and testament of Michael Häll ("a" umlaut), the Elder of Codorus Twp. sold at public auction land he had bought on 26 Sep 1785 to Michael Häll ("a" umlaut), the Younger, who is specifically identified as the "... son of said deceased of the same township, weaver ..." He had two brothers: Isaac and John. The Elder's LW&T, which I have not seen, is dated 10 May 1790.
