1. His second wife is a Mrs. Rixon, who has 2 daughters. 2. He came to New York state. 3. A letter to The Reverend Clair from Michael Patrick Drummey (3/28/1930) states that Michael Ahern was, ". . . buried in our family lot in Newark Ohio." As this is written long after the graves were re-located from Cedar Hill to Mt. Calvary, I take this to mean the Simon Drummey plot in Mt. Calvary. None of the subsequent family letters mentions locating a marker for Michael Ahern. 4. The Tithe Applotments for Ballinvelig (Ballinveiltig), Inishkenny Parish, County Cork show a Michael Ahern residing on 185 1/2 acres (1827). The only other residents of the townland are Dennis McCarthy and Timothy Mahoney. Griffith's Valuation (1852) shows the townland now broken up into 5 holdings. An Ellen Ahern resides on 71 acres. Her relation to Michael is not known. According to family letters, Michael had remarried by this time and moved into Cork City.
