    Meurice Coffrin Doran passed away on Oct. 11, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Ministries in Billings. She was born Oct. 7, 1911, in Unionville, Mo., to parents Everett and Olive Coffrin.
    She was the oldest of six children.The family came to Culbertson by train in 1913 and were homesteaders in the Andes community. In 1922, the family moved to Sidney to be nearer to schools, and she attended Sidney schools graduating from Sidney High.

    She was married to Raymond Charles Doran for 62 years and they had three children. Her life was centered around her home and family. She was a resident of Sidney for over 80 years, and was an active member of Lonsdale Methodist Church, and the Sidney Community as well. She managed the Dutch Mill Drive Inn in the late ‘40s, worked for J.C. Penny in the ‘50s and with her husband, owned the Frontier Motel in the ‘60s. Meurice moved to St. John's Lutheran Ministries in February 2007.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Olive Coffrin; her husband Raymond; her daughter Zelma Jo; her granddaughter Paula; her brothers Jack and Basil; and a sister Vesta.

    She is survived by her children Janis (Eldon) Steffens, Robert (Jane) Doran, and sisters Anita and Jo; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

    Her family would like to thank St. John's Lutheran Ministries and especially the staff of Moorberg and Fischer Cottages for their loving care over the past several years.

    Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be at the Lonsdale Methodist Church in Sidney on Oct. 20, at 2 p.m.

    Interment will be in the Sidney Cemetery.
