Merle Richard Homan Merle Richard Homan, 87, of Tiffin, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. Mr. Homan was born Jan. 23, 1917 in Seneca CO to Charles Edward and Hazel Bell (Michaels) Homan. On March 1, 1945, he married Betty Jane (Crist) Homan at St. Joseph Parsonage and she survives. Other survivors include: a son, Mike (Judy) Homan of Tiffin; daughter, Malinda (Frank) Perna of Tiffin; two brothers, Robert Homan of Yakima, Was h. and James (Alice) Homan of Tiffin; a sister, Mary Ellen Boner of Tiffin; grandsons, Anthony Perna and Christopher Homan. His parents, brother, Earl Homan and sisters Jane and Alice Pfeiffer and Ruth Fisher, preceded him in death. Mr. Homan was a 1935 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and retired in 1987 from Tiffin Paper CO He was a member of BPOE Elks of Tiffin Lodge 94, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 402, American Legion Post 169 and Pearl Harbor Survivor Association. He served in the U.S. Army during W. W. II and was a survivor of the attack at Pearl Harbor. References
