Melvin R. Shultz, 71, of Olmstead Street, Fostoria, died 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born on April 20, 1934, in Fostoria to Wilbur and Ruth (Knepper) Shultz. Both are deceased.

He married Mary E. (George) Shultz on May 9, 1934 and she survives. Also surviving are: sons, Carl R. Shultz of Fostoria and Michael A Shultz of Findlay; and a daughter, Melanie King of Fostoria. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Nov. 26, 2005, at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Burial will be at the Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria. Visitation will take place at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 26 until the time of service.
