Mrs Melva Bertha C. Roser, 69 of 918 Front Ave SW, New Philadelphia Ohio died at 5:15am today in Union Hospital. She had been seriously ill three days. Born in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Emanuel Hawk and was employed by te Dutch Oven Restaurant. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are a daughter Mres James (Esther) Maxwell of New Philadelphia, three sons, Samuel W. of Dover, Willis A of Canton and Kenneth A of Passadena, Tex, a brother Arthur Hawk of Dover, and five grandchildren. Her husband, Walter died in 1941. Also deceased are three brothers. Services will be Monday at 1pm at the Kaserman Funeral Home with the Rev. James N. Fisher officiating. Bural will be in East Avenue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
