No marriage record, death record, or gravestone has been located. Death is inferred from the fact that the 3 children listed in the 1870 census appear to be split up and living with different families.
The 1860 census gives an age of 18 (line 12 here, so born about 1842) while the 1870 census gives an age of 31 (line 17 here, so born about 1839).
The death record of daughter Ella (here) gives a mother's name of Melissa J Knox. The death record of daughter Alice (here) gives a mother's name of Milisa Smith. The marriage record of son Charles (here, record 112) gives a mother's name of Melissa Clark.
