Bloomsburg Press Enterprise on May 27, 2003 Maynard J. Hartman, 62, of 677 Zaner's Bridge Road, Stillwater, died at 8:40 am Monday, May 26, 2003, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, several hours after being admitted. In ill health for the past year, Mr. Hartman had lived in Fishingcreek Township for more than 30 years. Born August 16, 1940 in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Leonard T. and Laura F. Fetterman Hartman. He was employed by Wenner-Burton Construction, Benton, for 20 years, retiring in 1998. Mr. Hartman was a social member of Fort Ricketts Post No. 8317 VFW, Benton, and also of the Fishingcreek Sportsman's Association, Benton. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha J. "Marty" Houseknecht, with whom he celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary on September 6; three children: Maynard J. Hartman, Jr., Miami, FL; Dee Martz, Hickory, NC; and Craig L. Hartman, Benton; three grandchildren; and two sisters: Mrs. John C. (Marguerite) Powlus and Mrs. William E. (Barbara J.) DiFebo, both of Bloomsburg. Memorial services will be 11 am Thursday in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home, Benton with the Rev. Vernon W. McDormand, retired pastor of Benton Christian Church, officiating. References
