Per Anne Regenstein in an email to Daniel Stern on 9/17/2009:

"Unfortunately, I don’t know much more about my grandfather’s grandparents. I do know that my grandfather’s father died when he was young. That left my greatgrandmother to raise four boys, Manfred, Max, Fritz and Edgar with little money. All four brothers were able to leave Germany before the Holocaust."
