{geni:about_me} Max E. Carteaux, Sr. Max E. Carteaux, Sr., 66, of Rt. 8, Columbia City, died at 2:09 a.m. today in Whitley County Memorial Hospital. A native of Kosciusko County, he was born on Feb. 9, 1921 to Charles and Enid (DesVoigne) Carteaux. On Sept. 20, 1947, he was married to June Parsons, who survives. A resident of Columbia City since 1977, he had formerly lived in Warsaw and South Bend. He had worked for the Nehi Bottling Co. in South Bend for 30 years. Carteaux was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his wife, June Carteaux, other survivors include one son, Max E. Carteaux Jr., South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Luella) Bartlett, North Webster, Miss Veronica Carteaux, Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Randy (Christina Sue) Brooks, Osceola; two sisters, Mrs. Rosemary Fall, South Bend and Mrs. Charles (Gloria) Moore, Chesterton, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at the Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday with services scheduled there for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev.
