Brother Crandall was one of the earliest settlers of this town. He was noted for his industry, his adherence to truth, honesty and uprightness in all the relations of life. He experienced religion in early manhood, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church. He was one of the constituent members of the 2d Genesee Church, and remained with it until the little band was broken up.
