  2.   Note: Source:Tingley, Raymon Meyers. Some Ancestral Lines : Being a Record of Some of the Ancestors of Guilford Solon Tingley and His Wife, Martha Pamelia (Sic), p. 11, says Jacob Aldrich, s/o Jacob Aldrich and Huldah Thayer, m. (2) 20 Apr 1722 Mary (Wood) Fletcher, widow of Hezekiah Fletcher. This appears to be pretty much taken straight from Source:Austin, John Osborne. One Hundred and Sixty Allied Families, which says the same thing. Doubts are created by the similarity of this date to the marriage date of Jacob Aldrich Jr. and Mary Fletcher, Jr., which was 20 Apr 1732 (exactly 10 years later?) No such 1722 marriage record can be found, nor death record for Hezekiah Fletcher, nor Margery Aldrich, but Jacob did name a wife Mary in his will. However, Source:Holmes, Clayton Wood. Genealogy of the Lineal Descendants of William Wood Who Settled in Concord, Mass. in 1638, p. 262, gives the will of Abraham Wood, dated 23 Apr 1743, over twenty years after Mary is supposed to have remarried, and calls his daughter "Mary Fletcher, the wife of Hezekiah Fletcher of Concord". So Austin is clearly wrong, and there is no reason to think Mary (Wood) Fletcher was Jacob Aldrich's 2nd wife (unless by some remarkable coincidence not supported by any evidence yet seen, that she married her daughter's father-in-law sometime after the 1743 will reference, but before Jacob's death in 1753.)
