  4.   Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Foster Genealogy, p. 130, says that Ephraim Foster m. (2) "Jan. 8, 1732, Mary West, of Bradford, wid. of John West". The problem with this is that John West whose wife was Mary was still alive at that time, dying 6 Feb 1740/41. So it was not her. It appears to be John's half-sister, Mary West. The estate of widow Mary Foster of Bradford in 1752 is administered by William Eastman, who would be a nephew of Mary West, son of her sister Phebe (West) Eastman, suggesting no children, whereas the widow of John West would have lots of children who would have taken precedence over what, to her, would be a even more distant relative (aunt, but by half-blood, and by marriage).

Another John West d. 27 Mar 1733. This appears by age at death to be s/o Twyford/Twilford West, who married 1697 Elizabeth (---) Atwood (she d. 1720). His death is also after the marriage to Ephraim Foster. There is apparently no probate, so it is not clear, but it appears there was no widow in any event.
