Obituary

Miami Union December 22, 1910 HETZLER, MRS MARY JANE - Hetzlers Corner--Mrs Mary Jane Hetzler, the oldest person of the Hetzler name in this section of Ohio, died in the home of her nephew, William Webster, on South Chestnut street, Piqua, Thursday, December 15. She was the widow of John M Hetzler who served as a soldier in Company E, 71st OVI regiment of the civil war. He preceded his wife in death almost three years. This couple lived to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Since the death of the husband her nephew has shared his home with her where she died after a brief illness with pneumonia at the age of 84 years. Funeral services were conducted in the residence Sunday at 1 pm by Rev JW Beck of Piqua, who also officiated at the funeral of the husband three years ago. Six nephews of the deceased acted as pallbearers. The remains were laid to rest in the Fletcher cemetery.
