Hartford, ss., April ye 19th, 1746: Be it remembered, that Mrs. Mary Seymour, late of Hartford, who died on the 19th day of April. 1746, some short time before her death expressed that she was sensible she was very near her end, and at the same time, in the presence and hearing of Phebe Booth, Hannah Welles and Hepzibah Seymour, did make her last will and testament, and did then and there verbally declare in their audience that it was her last will and testament that her daughter Jerusha Seymour shall have all her goods and estate that she the sd. Mary Seymour had in the world. And for perpetual memory and confirmation of the truth of what is above written, we, the sd. Phebe Booth, Hannah Welles and Hepzibah Seymour, have hereto set our hands this 19th day of April, 1746.

The above was approved to be the last will and testament of Mary Seymour, and ordered to be recorded.

Court Record, Page 63—5 April, 1748: An account of Adms. on the estate of Mary Seymour decd., widow of Capt. Thomas Seymour, was now exhibited in Court by Bevell Seymour (see page 27) and Jerusha Seymour, with the will annexed:
