22 Dec 1786: Thomas Bascom of Western Tanner for £77 conveys to Wi'd Mary Root of Montague Seamster a parcel in Western it being the southwest corne of the said wi'd thirds that she had out of the Estate of her husband Lieu't Sam'l Bascom deceased.

  2. Based on the first marriage record in 1743 calling her d/o Ebenezer, one might think she was Mary Warner, b. Springfield 1721 to Ebenezer and Mary Warner, but Ebenezer's will does not name a daughter Mary. Based on the marriage in Belchertown, one might think she was d/o Ebenezer Warner and Ruth Ely of Belchertown, but no record is found, and none of the secondary coverages appear to give them a daughter Mary. Humorously, Source:Warner, Lucien C. Descendants of Andrew Warner, p. 205, misreports the marriage as 1843, so speculates her as the daughter of an Ebenezer b. 1802.
