This article argues that there is no evidence for the maiden name of Mary who married Thomas Griswold 28 Nov 1672, and that she is unlikely to be "Mary (dau. Henry) Howard" as stated by Henry R. Stiles in History of Ancient Wethersfield, possibly based on Savage's Genealogical Dictionary.
