Petition in favor of Alice Kibby sometime before 1657 signed by Mary Grenaway, Mary Millet, Susanna wales, Ann Pearse among others...of note because indicates an early federation among women & all but 1 of the 21 give signatures rather than marks:

Alice Kibby the wife of William Kibby a professed servant of Jesus Christ both in Old England and new: as we have heard and by experience do find that she hath been a woman of singular use in the place from whence she came and here also, and we bless the Lord for her life and for the experience we have had of her not in ordinary cases but in extraordinary cases; but we have been informed here of late that she hath been a hard-hearted woman and that many women and children do die under her hands which doth much redound to her discredit and the disheartening of our women amongst us--and we have heard that she is much oppressed by the reports that go about on her but we whose names are here underwritten with the consent of a great many more do earnestly pray unto god to undertake for her, in a way of his own, to clear her name that she may have free passage in her calling to the good of us and our children.
