- ↑ county per granddaughter Frances Marie (Fitzpatrick) Trefry -- but it's possible that this just refers to the fact that Mary's children were baptised there, so she may have just lived there after marrying.
- ↑ as Mrs. Hugh Cassidy - Stamford Directory NOTE: Since Sarah Louise and the younger siblings certainly were born in Ireland, according to family history, censuses and immigration records, the obituary's statement that she was a resident of Stamford for 55 years has to be wrong -- but it is conceivable that it was a typo and should have read 45 years.

- ↑ Stamford directory NOTE:: Joseph, Joseph R. and P. Henry Toner all boarded at 75 Elm in the same year - almost certainly her brothers or nephews -- Joseph, carman; Joseph R, letter carrier; P. Henry, expressman, (says boards, do, which indicated that he worked where he lived.) Joseph A. Toner was a bartender who boarded at 82 Elm and worked at 84 Elm
- ↑ Stamford directory as Mary, widow of Hugh
- ↑ Her name, and her son's, appears to be written as Cassaid or Casaid (transcribed as Carraid)
- ↑ On 1910 census - original mis-transcribed as Mary "Caraid" (probably should have been read as Casaid - which would be a good approximation of Cassidy)
