Mary Frances (Stringer) Crouch, 80, died in Phoenix, Ariz., On Aug. 23, 2002 after a short illness.
She was born Nov. 11, 1921 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Prof. Leman Stringer and Ruth (Zinn) Stringer. She spent her early life in Milton and graduated from Milton College in 1943. She received a masters degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1944. In the same year she married Boyden L. Crouch. They spent the next few years in post-war Germany and were able to travel extensively. She lived in Phoenix for 47 years.
She is survived by her son, Robert Crouch and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyden, in 1985. A private memorial was held in Phoenix on Aug. 30, 2002. Memorials maybe given to the organization or charity of choice.
