Mentioned in Thomas Sherwood's will as Margaret, a daughter by his first wife. [Because she was not on the 1634 passenger list, it was thought] Margaret/Mary was born after Thomas' arrival in America in Apr 1634 [the baptismal record alters that theory]. The family came to Wethersfield, Connecticut with the early settlers in 1635 and in 1640 they removed to Stamford, where the family remained until 1648.

Children … ii. MARY SHERWOOD, bp. Kettle Baston, Suffolk, [blank] [blank] 1613 [TAG 80:280]; named in father’s will, 21 July 1655, probably married; no further record. … Jacobus listed one of the daughters with the first wife as “Margaret,” while Prindle listed this name as “Marg.” Mahler, having discovered the English baptismal records for the children of the first wife, argued convincingly that this name should be read “Mary” [TAG 80:280-81].
