Mrs.. Norine Sharpe Clapp GRAHAM — Mrs.. Norine Sharpe Clapp, 80, of 3614 Rogers Road, died at 10:27 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Edgewood Place after several years of failing health, two days critical.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Robert Lee Clapp and the daughter of Mr. Alvis Alexander Sharpe and Mrs.. Mary Alma Graves Sharpe, both deceased. She was a retired textile employee. She was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Mr. Robert L. Clapp Jr.. of Charlotte; three daughters, Ms. Rita Page and Mrs.. Polly Parker, both of Graham, and Mrs.. June “Bugs” Pittman of Hillsborough; three sisters, Mrs.. Brenda Stafford of Graham, Mrs.. Esther Richardson of Burlington and Mrs.. Eudell Matthews of Timonium, Md.; one brother, Mr. W. Dalton Sharpe of Graham; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-stepgrandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Graham Memorial Park by the Rev. Rick Moser and the Rev. Terry Brown.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham. At other times, they will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs.. Polly Parker, 3608 Rogers Road, Graham.
