"Mary Frances (Mollie) Sears was born Feb. 20, 1865, at Auburn,Alabama. She was two years old when her family started itswestward trek. In TX she remembered holding the horses by thereins to keep Indians from stealing them, and of running toescape an Indian when on her way to school. She was educated atAdd-Ran College. She married Daniel Kelley Glenn (born October23, 1861, at Odessa, Texas) on October 5, 1885. They had eightchildren. They farmed around Lipan, being in the mercantilebusiness in Granbury for a while. Then they moved to Midland, TXwhere they opened the first livery stable. Later they had ranchand mercantile interest in west Texas and New Mexico, and in1913 moved to Odessa, TX. Dan died Oct 3, 1945. and Mollie diedMarch 20, 1961, both at Odessa, TX. and are buried in the OdessaCemetery."
