Note: Mary married Revel Wharton. He was the owner and commander of a privateer and was killed by the British during the Revolution. They had two children, Lindsey, a son died young, Sarah, a daughter lived to maturity. Mary, after the death of her husband in 1790 when the Scroggins mostly moved to Kentucky, near the time they started, married a Mr. Boon, a brother of old Daniel Boon at Bedstone, Pa. It is thought that Boon, Mary's second husband, was killed on the way down the river at he never landed in Kentucky. Mary lived to a ripe old age.
