    Note: Her name is given as Mary J Crowder. The J might be for her previous married name, Jackson - someone might have thought it was her maiden name, and it was common to use the initial of the maiden name in a woman's name.

    The obituary lists a surviving son James Scott of Xenia. This appears to be her brother, not her son, as there is no James Scott born before 1922 (when she married Wilson Crowder and presumably her children would be named Crowder) in the 1930 or 1940 censuses other than her brother. Also, when her daughter Eleanor Hunter died in 1930, her obituary says the only near relative who survived her was her mother (implying no siblings).
