BICKNELL — Mary Alberta (Scott) Cradick, 86, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Mary was born on Jan. 4, 1925, in Bicknell. She was the daughter of Albert and Freda (Westfall) Scott. Mary graduated from Bicknell High School with the Class of 1943. She married Jack Wiggins in 1944 and divorced in 1968. Then Mary married Robert J. Cradick in 1971 and he passed in 1975. She worked at Kroger Co., in Indianapolis for 19 years. Mary moved back to Bicknell in 1977 and attended Vincennes University, graduating in 1980 at the age of 55 with an associate's degree in abstracting. She went on to manage an abstracting company for a law firm in Washington for 12 years. After retiring from the law firm, she took care of 43 different children in her home for 12 years. Mary was an active member of the First Baptist Church since 1936, was a charter member of the Hoosier Historians Genealogy Club of Bicknell.Mary is survived by two sons, Jerry Wiggins and his wife, Kathy, of Greenwood, and Danny Wiggins and his wife, Glenda, of Indianapolis; and two daughters, Judith Sessenwein and her husband, John, of Point Claire, Quebec, Canada, and Nancy Sinclair and her husband, James, of Indianapolis. Two sisters, Kathleen Pack and Margaret Hart and her husband, Don, of Bicknell; two brothers, Paul Scott and his wife, Jeanette, and Don Scott and his wife, Carolan, all of Bicknell, also survive. Mary had 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ralph Scott, Lloyd Scott and Harold Scott; and one grandson, Daniel Yawn.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bicknell First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Seth Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bicknell First Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
