He married at Goffstown, 27 Nov. 1783, Mary Sargent, born there 8 Mar, 1764; died at Grantham, Sullivan Co., N. H., 30 Mar. 1849, daughter of Trueworthy and Hopestill (Weed) Sargent. Elijah Kidder was a private in Capt. James Aikin's Company of Col. Moses Kelly's Regiment of New Hampshire Volunteers. His name appears on the Goffstown bounty list.

    i. John, a farmer, born at Goffstown, Hillsborough Co., N. H. in 1784; died there 26 Apr. 1879, aged 95. He married at Goffstown in Sept. 1802, Sally Paige of that place, born there about 1785; died 7 Oct. 1872, aged 87.
    ii. Jacob, born at Goffstown, N. H.; died at New London, Merrimac Co., N. H., 18 Mar. 1870. He married Mehitable Johonnot of Goffstown, born at Sunapee, Sullivan Co., N. H. about 1776; died there 31 Mar. 1859, aged 83, daughter of Moses and Mehitable (Emerson) Johonnot.
    iii. Betsey, b. 13 Sept. 1790; d. at Grantham, 31 May 1889, aged 98 years, 8 months, 18 days; m. at Goffstown, 7 Dec. 1814, Allen5 Kidder (Reuben4, Noah4, Joseph3, John2, James1), No. 267, b. probably at Vassalboro, Kennebec Co., Me.; d. at Grantham, 23 Feb. 1871.
    iv. Edward, born at Goffstown, N. H., 15 Mar. or 29 Apr. 1792; died at Hancock, Addison Co., Vt., 19 Nov. 1872. He married at Enfield, Grafton Co., N. H., 10 Jan. 1820, 5 Kidder (Joseph4, Noah4, Joseph3, John2, James1), born 28 Oct. 1790; died at Hancock, 4 Sept. 1869, daughter of Joseph and Mercy (Fox) Kidder (No. 108).
    V. Polly Sarah, b. in 1799; m. Timothy5 Kidder (Joseph4, Noah4, Joseph3, John2, James1), No. 269, b. at Enfield, N. H. in 1796; d. there 28 June 1873.
    vi. Jesse, of Rochester, Vt., born at Goffstown, N. H., 29 Apr. 1808. He married at Rochester, 5 Dec. 1830, Annie Maria Cary of that place, born there 4 July 1810, daughter of George and Deborah Cary.
    vii. Lucy, m. at Rochester, Windsor Co., Vt., 7 Dec. 1826, Benjamin Martin of that town.
