This was the 3rd.marriage for Mary E. Thompson, according to 1880-1903 Warren Co., IA. Marriage Record Book, pg.74. Hannah Sayres was witness for this #3 marriage. Adam age 60, and Mary age 47. Sayre=Marr.#1, Thompson=Marr.#2, and Adam=Marr.#3. See 1890 will. Further research should pursue her relationships to Eliz.Sayre, wife of Adam,Jr. brother, Daniel; to Curtis Thompson, husband of Olive Ora Braught who was daughter of Adam,Jr. and his first wife, Sarah Sponsler. It would seem that these three families (Braught, Sayre, and Thompson) had multiple marriages in Warren County, IA during the last half of the 1800's. Adam married Mary 4 months after death of his first wife, Sarah.
