!Family Records in possession of Leo W. Powell
Bir:St Martins at Oa,Norage, Norfolk, England, per note from Marlene: Mary Ann RIX first Married Fredrick LACK in England; who died 1 Nov 1845.
Mary Ann Rix Lack, a widow, although ill, left England with her three children: George, Sarah and Mary Ann after joining the church. Mary Ann's name is listed as Rix and Blythe. A grand daughter of Precinda was given an explantion by her grandmother about the two names. When Sarah and her mother came to America, Mary Ann Rix Lack married a man by the name of Blythe, hoping he would help her and her children to cross the plains to Utah. When he learned she had no money he left the family stranded.

!Research done by Lucile Gibbons Powell proves Mary Ann's maiden name was Rix not Blythe. Certified Birth record General Register Office, London, England, Application Number 840B, Certified #BCA 00613 lists Sarah Elizibeth Lack's parents as Frederick Lack and Mary Ann Rix. Hence the family linkages in this record are incorrect as they put Mary Ann in the Blythe line. Record is on file in Gene Powell's Genealogy book. Mary Ann's son, George Barber, was raised as Frederick's son and is sealed to him and Mary Ann.
