Mary was an outgoing and friendly person. She enjoyed staying busy. Especially after Earl's retirement she took on a number of activities and projects. She graduated from high school and attended classes at Miami University-Middletown, earning her associates degree at the age of about sixty. She enjoyed working a school librarian and absolutely delighted in her grandchildren. She had numerous medical problems over the years and tended to avoid going to doctors when she needed to go. She had chest pains for several days without telling anyone, insisting that she was doing just fine taking care of her husband Earl who was fairly ill. She had suffered a severe heart attack and died just days later.
