He was grad. of Yale, 1847 ; Col. of Medicine and Chirurgy, New York City, 1851 ; went to Europe soon afterwards where he remained until his death at Nice, France, with the exception of one visit home. He was buried in the Protestant Cemetery at Castle Hill. Mrs. Olmsted m. (2) Frederick Law Olmsted (No. 1132).
