The Guardian Angel's church, Orillia, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Monday morning Sept. 25, 1939, when Mary Catherine, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Murphy, became the bride of John William Cameron, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Geo. G. Cameron of Barrie. Rev. Father Bernard Doyle performed the marriage. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a lovely gown of grotto blue crepe with gold trimming, grape wine hat, gloves and shoes and a corsage of Talisman roses and lily of the valley. her only attendant was Miss Marcella MacDonald of Toronto, gowned in mauve crepe with wood violet accessories and a corsage of cream roses. The groom was attended by Mr. Thomas Devlin of Toronto. Mrs. Mrs. Jos. Mossington was the organist and the soloist was Miss Irene Reardon. A wedding breakfast was served at the Old Home Tea Room, Colbourne St., the bride's mother receiving in a grape purple gown with matching accessories and a corsage of Talisman roses. Later the happy couple left on a honeymoon trip to points north, the bride travelling in a tailored grey suit with black accessories. Upon their return they will reside in Orillia.
