Which Mary?
- A Mary Elizabeth married ZT Morrow and settled in Burnet Co. TX. He is buried there, d. 1888, in the same cemetery as Alexander "Wash" Morrow and his wife Melissa Crownover. ZT was born in NC. Wash was born in Alabama.
- Descendants say Mary's last name was Morrow, but she was "no relation" to ZT. (Wash is no known relation to ZT.)
- FamilyTree [1] lists 8 kids of ZT and Mary, born 1876-1888, of which 2 lived to adulthood (Sarah Melissa and William Franklin).
- William's death certificate confirms that his parents were Zach Morrow and Mary Morrow.
- Mary Elizabeth Morrow m. James D. Pruitt, b. 1858 Texas, d. 1930, death certificate says her parents were Wash Morrow and Malicia Hardin.
- Census record for James and Mary in 1900 says they had been married 19 years, oldest child Martin b. Oct 1882 TX (par b. TX). Mary's father is listed as b. MS, and she is listed as having 13 children, 6 living. There are 7 children in the household.
- Entry in Daughters of Republic of Texas [2] says James Pruitt, son of Levi married first Nancy Wheeler, then Mary E. Morrow.
