Mary Palmer, 94, of Camilla died Thursday morning, 14 Sep 1989, at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Funeral services are to be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, 14 Sep, at Parker Chapel with the Rev Jasper Sadler and the Rev. Wade Dyches officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mrs. Palmer was born 6 Sep 1895, in Mitchell County, the daughter of the late Wade McQuaig and Julie Moree. She was married to Ben Hill Palmer, with one son, Doffice Palmer, preceding her in death. She was also a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Margaret Palmer of Camilla; four grandchildren, Beth Wood of Pelham, Sarah Kirkland of Camilla, Susan Palmer of Albany and Sandra Barrett of Meigs; and 10 great-grandchildren. Parker Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
