MRS. McAVOY THOMPSON  - Mrs. Mary Thompson died at the home of her son, John Thompson on Badger Mountain on June 23.  She was born in Ireland in 1835, moved to Prince Edward's Island and was married to Charles Thompson.  She came to this country 40 years ago, settling in Illinois and later moved to Iowa.  Mrs. Thompson came to Douglas County in 1900 and has since resided with her son.  She leaves 8 children including John, J.D., James and Charles of Hammond and Mrs. P. J.
