  3. Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, p. 412, says the first three children were born in Marlborough, probably because three births were recorded there. But four baptisms (i.e., including Mary) were recorded in Marlborough, and all children were recorded in Southborough with no differentiation as to actual birth location. So there is a reasonable chance that Mary was actually born in Marlborough.
