Mary Frances Maloney was born on February 19, 1906 in Rochester, NY to Frederick George Maloney and Bridget Josephine Hanley. As a child, the family lived at 54 Greig Street in Rochester. She attended Immaculate Conception grammar school on Plymouth Street (later named Frederick Douglas Blvd.) and Nazareth Academy high school on Lake Avenue. Following Nazareth Academy she was employed at Fahey's (?) Meat Market in the office. In 1936 she married Austin Eagan at Immaculate Conception Church. At the end of 1936 Mary and Austin were living at 2191 No. Clinton Ave. in Rochester and she was working at the Hickey Freeman Co. at 1155 No. Clinton Avenue [Source #1].

Mary and Austin had four children: Patrick Joseph, Eileen, Kathleen, and Maureen. At the time of Patrick's birth in 1939 the family lived on Alexander Street. Subsequent to that, the family lived at 484 Flint Street until 1950 when they moved to 15 Trafalgar Street. During this time, Mary worked as a medical library records clerk at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Upon Austin's retirement in 1966 they purchased a second home, a small house in Plesus, NY in the Thousand Islands area. This house was sold when Austin died in 1968 or shortly thereafter.

When Austin was still alive, they were not travelers with only an occasional vacation trip. After Austin died, Mary caught the "travel bug" and visited his children in Michigan and Florida, and trips to Ireland and Brazil.

Mary died in December, 1981 in Rochester where she lived at a senior citizen's apartment complex on So. Clinton Avenue. She was buried from St. Boniface Church on Alexander Street and is buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Lake Avenue in Rochester.

- Two baptismal records are found in the records of Immaculate Conception Church on pages 326 and 330. Apparently Mary was baptized on February 22, 1906 and a ceremony was held later probably in church. Mary's sponsor for baptism was Mary Hanley, sister of his mother, Bridget Hanley Maloney.
