Adam Leier (Reading Times/Reading Eagle) Adam Leier, 93, a resident of Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville, formerly of Shillington, died Dec. 12 at 11:40 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient for two days. He was admitted to the hospital from Phoebe Berks Health Care Center Inc.

His wife, Mary E. (Lyberger) Leier, died March 15, 1981. His first wife, Iva S. (Ruth) Leier, died in 1950.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Louis and Sadie (Lafferty) Leier.

Leier had been last employed in maintenance by the Wyomissing Public Library, retiring in 1980. He previously worked as a cloth cutter for Fairy Silk Mills Inc., Shillington, from 1945 until 1961, and for Lyons Knitwear, Temple, from 1961-76.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Reading.

Leier was an Army veteran of World War II.
