Mary Linney was baptised on 4th October 1801 at Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, daughter of Elizabeth Linney, formerly Franklin, and her husband Thomas Linney. Mary has yet to be traced after her baptism.

  2.   There are two people called Mary Linney who lived in the area later, either or neither of whom may be this Mary: one who married Thomas Bone in Leighton Buzzard in 1822 and appears to have had children with him in the nearby village of Wing, dying there in 1833; and another who appears unmarried in Leighton Buzzard in the 1851 census and appears to have died in 1859.
