  3.   Source:Felton, Cyrus. Genealogical History of the Felton Family, p. 12, contains several errors on James Houlton. It indicates that his second wife Mary Lindsey was a widow with two children: Ralph Lindsey and a daughter who m. John Reas. Ralph Lindsey was a brother of Mary's, son of Eleazer and Sarah. John Reas married 1723 a Mary Houlton (not James Houlton's daughter Mary who m. 1725 Ebenezer Procter), so this does not appear to be a daughter of a widow Lindsey. Additionally, it states James Holton died in 1729, when his estate was settled. However, the estate was opened 10 Dec 1722 when his undated [likely written before 7 Mar 1716/17 since it does not mention the son John born on that date] will was proved (naming wife Mary, sons James and Joseph, daughters Mary Ruth and Sarah). His wife Mary was named executor, but in 1726 William Stacy, whom she married, is appointed administrator with will annexed, and finally an inventory is taken 5 Oct 1726.
